collectively, we have in excess of 120 years of teaching and training experience.

Mark has worked within the Sport & Outdoor Education sector for over 20 years. In addition to his role as the Quality Director for Active Training Ltd, Mark still teaches & instructs on most courses and is the Lead Internal Quality Compliance Officer. His Masters in Professional Development in Outdoor Learning allows him to add an extra element to all training that he offers. Mark has three young children who keep him on his toes and even manages to maintain role as the County Training Officer for Cornwall Army Cadets.

Dave has worked in education from Primary through to Higher Education since 2007. Within Active Training Ltd, Dave fulfils a quality assurance role as the accredited centre to the TEF Gold rated institution, Hartpury University, for their PE and School Sport undergraduate degree. He has recently completed a Masters in Education and specialises in the development of physically active curriculum. With a young family Dave is kept busy and he enjoys all outdoor activities. 

Wendy has been training since 2003. She is a former solicitor and was in the Armed Forces before qualifying as a teacher with QTS: she has taught learners from Primary through to HE and was in leadership within FE and HE. Wendy believes that these experiences make her uniquely positioned to offer training to learners across all key stages. Her passion is making education and training both engaging and relevant. She is mum to two amazing children and in her spare time, she is an active Scout Leader who loves the outdoors and all associated activities.

After specialising in behaviour management and personal development of young people, Danni worked with the Prince's Trust as a Team Leader for 16-25 year olds; there she helped build confidences and gave essential skills for getting young people better prepared for work.  Together with her experience in the Armed Forces, she now supports people in achieving the results that they require.  With QTS status, Danni delivers both our education and Paediatric First Aid courses.  In her spare time, Danni loves being a mum and enjoys exercising, socialising, reading, volunteering and being by the sea.

As the PE Lead at Marine Academy Primary, Annette coordinates all things medical and supports other schools across the Trust. She is passionate about First Aid and enjoys teaching it to all learners. At Active Training Ltd, she teaches Emergency Paediatric First Aid and the Level 5 Certificate in Primary PE; her knowledge and understanding of educational settings provides learners with a 'reality' of what is required. Annette is calm and approachable and ensures her courses are fun and engaging. In her spare time, she loves family time, walking, cycling and relaxing.

Jane has worked in the Leisure Industry since her teens as a Lifeguard and has taught gymnastics, trampolining, wall-climbing, dance, aerobics and fitness: all giving her a vast array of first aid experience! She is a full-time Gymnastics coach and enjoys trasnforming reluctant participants into fully committed learners.  In 2018, she qualified as a tutor and welcomed the opportunity to impart her first aid knowledge - her enthusiasm and friendly personality making learning fun and enjoyable for all.
